By reserving or renting a trailer from Orange Iron Equipment Rentals, you agree to the following terms and conditions.
- Renter Requirements
Renter must provide a valid driver’s license, proof of active automobile insurance, and any other information requested by Orange Iron Equipment Rentals. All rentals are subject to approval.
- Towing Requirements
Renter is responsible for providing a properly rated and equipped tow vehicle. The combined weight of the trailer and cargo must remain within the tow vehicle’s towing, payload, hitch, and braking capacities. Renter is responsible for verifying compatibility before pickup.
- Customer Pickup & Return
All rentals are customer pickup and customer return. Orange Iron Equipment Rentals does not currently provide delivery or pickup from residences or job sites. Trailers must be returned to the designated location at the agreed-upon day and time.
- Trailer Use
The trailer may only be used for lawful purposes and must be operated safely and responsibly. Renter may not overload, modify, abuse, sublease, or allow unauthorized individuals to use the trailer.
- Cargo & Load Securement
Renter is solely responsible for properly loading and securing all cargo and equipment. Renter must comply with all applicable laws and regulations regarding weight, load distribution, tie-downs, and transportation.
- Damage, Loss & Theft
Renter is responsible for the trailer during the rental period and can be held responsible for payment due to damage, loss, theft, or misuse as provided in the rental agreement. Any damage, accident, mechanical issue, or theft must be reported to Orange Iron Equipment Rentals immediately.
- Insurance
Required insurance must be verified and approved before the rental is released. Providing proof of insurance does not eliminate the renter’s responsibilities under the rental agreement.
- Payment & Additional Charges
Renter agrees to pay all rental charges and any applicable fees, including charges resulting from damage, excessive damage , late return, loss, misuse, or other violations of the rental agreement.
- Reservation & Cancellation
Reservations are subject to availability. Cancellation, modification, refund, and no-show policies are provided during the booking process and/or in the rental agreement.
10. Items Prohibited
The following are not permitted to be hauled in our trailers. The renter assumes all responsibility for covering the cost for repairs or any damage occurred during rental.
- Hazardous materials. Toxic chemicals, paint, or uncontained debris.
- Large concrete blocks and boulders. Dropping massive chunks of concrete or large rocks directly into an empty steel bed causes deep dents, punctures and compromised sidewalls.
- Exceedingly heavy wet materials. Wet dirt, mud and uncontained concrete can easily exceed the payload capacity of a standard trailer, bending axles or straining the hydraulic lift cylinders.
- Corrosive and sticky materials. Leaking or spilled paint thinners, solvents or fuel can strip protective coatings, ruin the bed lining and cause rust.
- Gooey adhesives and resins. Epoxies, glues and roofing tars stick permanently to the metal bed and are extremely difficult or costly to remove without damaging the interior finish.
- Wet concrete and mortar residue. Allowing wet concrete to dry inside the bed turns the trailer into a solid, heavy block that ruins the interior and breaks free only with destructive chipping.
11. Rental Agreement
These website terms provide a general overview of rental requirements. The rental agreement signed by the renter contains the complete terms and conditions governing the rental and will control in the event of a conflict.
By completing a reservation, submitting required documentation, or taking possession of a trailer, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms and the applicable rental agreement.
